Using real-world examples from Empire Building Challenge retrofit projects, participants will learn how to apply the RED framework to create comprehensive, long-term decarbonization plans for their buildings. Additionally, the training will review a range of technical solutions for decarbonizing buildings, highlighting how prioritization of these technologies can optimize retrofits.

The Climate Mobilization Act (CMA) Affordable Housing Training demystifies the basic principles of the CMA and provides actionable guidance to affordable housing property owners, developers, managers, and consultants. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the CMA’s potential impact on their buildings, what their compliance obligations are, and how to meet those obligations with practical strategies and financial tools and resources.

The Climate Ready Buildings training educates affordable housing project teams – including building owners, architects, and contractors – on how to design and construct high-performance buildings that are resilient against the increasing pressure of climate change and align with NY’s climate goals.
