Course Description
The Climate Ready Buildings training educates affordable housing project teams – including building owners, architects, and contractors – on how to design and construct high-performance buildings that are resilient against the increasing pressure of climate change and align with NY’s climate goals.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how the climate crisis and subsequent NY policies impact the building industry, insight into design and construction strategies, such as Integrative Design Process (IDP), HPD-specific funding opportunities, and HCR-specific funding opportunities.
Successful completion of this comprehensive training will meet HPD funding requirements and comply with the New York City Overlay of the Enterprise Green Communities Criteria. For teams seeking funding/certification, please send the certificate of completion of this course to the appropriate HPD channel.
